August 22, 4:30pm-6:30pm Picnic with Purpose

This annual open-house is our way to say “thank you” to our new members and volunteers. Staff, volunteers and new members will enjoy a chance to mingle over good food. Please contact Carol at cmanos@lakewoldgardens.org or register online here.

August 26, 1-4pm Artist Appreciation Day

Join us as we celebrate our local, consignment artists. See what's new for sale in the garden shop, meet the artists, and enjoy some light refreshments. Gary Stroutsos will also be in the gardens playing beautiful acoustic flute music. Admission is by donation after 1pm.

September 9, Sipping with Ciscoe, 5-8pm

Join Ciscoe Morris at Lakewold Gardes as he answers all your Pacific Northwest Garden questions. Advance purchase of tickets ($25) is required. Please contact Margaret at mhunwin@yahoo.com for more information or to purchase tickets.

CommunityKidsDay

September 15, 10am-2pm Community Kids Day

A day for the kids at Lakewold Gardens! Join us along with many community partners in garden-related activities for the whole family. This year, we will be supporting the Wishing Well Foundation. Learn more about the day's activities and admission on our Community Kids Day Page.

September 22, Moods and Moments, 10am-12pm

Dean Koepfler is a freelance photographer/videographer and longtime journalist at The News Tribune in Tacoma. He has spent decades focusing on the fragile beauty of Mount Rainier and the wild places of the Puget Sound while documenting the impacts of climate change, development, and habitat destruction in the Pacific Northwest. Dean will speak at Lakewold Gardens on September 22 to discuss the path to his passion, career highlights, and talk about the unique rewards photography has to offer. He will also give us some insight into his handy tools of the trade. Tickets are $15 for members, $20 for non-members and can be purchased online here.

20th Annual Beautiful Tables Showcase- November 1-4 & 8-11

Lakewold’s pre-holiday extravaganza continues the tradition of displaying inspiring and creative ideas for entertaining at home for its 20th year! The Wagner house will be filled with themed table settings for all to see. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite!

November 11, Free admission for Military

December 8 & 9, Holiday Artisan Bazaar

The Wagner House will be transformed into a holiday shopping paradise! Join us with admission by donation and shop to your hearts content at our amazing vendors featuring local, handmade items.

December 8, Cocoa & Caroling

Fa-la-la-la-la! Get into the holiday spirit with us at our first annual Cocoa and Caroling event! Join us on Saturday, December 8th   in the Wagner House from 5-7p for cocoa, carols, and heaps of good cheer. Cookies and cocoa will be provided. Donations gladly accepted.

Holiday Closures

The gardens and administrative offices will be closed November 21--25 and December 17th-January 1st.
