February 14- Vino & Tango

Bring your Valentine, and learn the smooth tango at Lakewold Gardens! Light refreshments and wine will be served. $50 per couple for members, $60 per couple for non-members. Get your tickets at Brown Paper Tickets.

Wednesdays in March (7th, 14th, 21st, 28th)- Game Night

Join us from 6-9pm in the Wagner House Sunroom for some good gaming fun! Lakewold will provide puzzles and a variety of board games, so bring your friends and family. Soda and snacks are provided.

April 1 Spring/Summer Hours Begin

Gardens open Wednesday-Sunday 10am-4pm

April 18- Lakewold Gardens’ Annual Meeting 6:00-8:30pm

Don’t miss this opportunity to spend the evening with Lakewold Gardens. As we outline upcoming projects and reflect on the last year, enjoy wine and hors’deouvres in our newly renovated Sunroom. Seating is limited. RSVP here.

May 1-25 MayFest

Our annual celebration of spring includes a variety of exciting exhibits, displays and performances. Come walk the gardens and enjoy the majesty of the spring flowers in bloom. Gardens will be closed on Mondays. Click here for more information.

June 2, 8:30am-12pm - Rhody Deadhead Party

A great opportunity to get your hands dirty and help with care of our beautiful rhododendrons. This fun, productive morning will start with complimentary breakfast at 8:30 am. To participate, please contact Carol at cmanos@lakewoldgardens.org, or sign up online by clicking here.

June 6-10 - Rainier League of Arts Show

Artwork created by members of “Rainier League of Arts” will be on display in the Wagner House. The exhibit will feature paintings created in:  Oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, colored pencil, and mixed media as well as miniature artwork.  Throughout the show, artists will be on site to answer questions and talk about their art, some plan to demonstrate their art as well.  All are welcome to attend the reception on Sunday, June 10th from Noon to 3:30 pm and meet these talented artists! Members of “Rainier League of Arts” include painters, photographers, mixed media artists and 3D artists.  Rainier League of Arts is a non-profit organization founded in 1968 by Fred Oldfield, Aletha Deuel, Roseli Souza, Paul Chalk, Hazel Gibbons and Becky Stol. 

June 20-24 Fairyscapes in the Garden

Back by popular demand. This family-friendly event is sure to delight the young and young-at-heart with all things fairy. Celtic music, beautiful dancing, art, and activities are fun for the whole family. Click here for information on Fairyfest.

Wednesdays in August-Free admission for military

August 22, 4:30pm-6:30pm Picnic with Purpose

This annual open-house is our way to say “thank you” to our new members and volunteers. Staff, volunteers and new members will enjoy a chance to mingle over good food. Please contact Carol at cmanos@lakewoldgardens.org. Online registration coming soon.

CommunityKidsDay

September 15, 10am-2pm Community Kids Day

A day for the kids at Lakewold Gardens! Join us along with many community partners in garden-related activities for the whole family. No reservations required.

Beautiful Tables Showcase- November 1-4 & 8-11

Lakewold’s pre-holiday extravaganza continues the tradition of displaying inspiring and creative ideas for entertaining at home for its 20th year! The Wagner house will be filled with themed table settings for all to see. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite!

November 11, Free admission for Military

December 8, Holiday Artisan Bazaar

The Wagner House will be transformed into a holiday shopping paradise! Join us with admission by donation and shop to your hearts content at our amazing vendors featuring local, handmade items.

December 15, Cocoa & Caroling

Fa-la-la-la-la! Get into the holiday spirit with us at our first annual Cocoa and Caroling event! Join us on Saturday, December 15th   in the Wagner House from 2p-5p for cocoa, carols, and heaps of good cheer. Cookies and cocoa will be provided. Donations gladly accepted.

Holiday Closures

The gardens and administrative offices will be closed November 21--25 and December 17th-January 1st.
