Community Kids Day

The Pinkerton FamilyYouth Program

On September 15th, Lakewold will once again open its gates for our annual Community Kids Day, welcoming families for a variety of activities and educational booths representing a number of local organizations. Connect with your community through their booths, enjoy some fun arts and crafts, and explore the gardens with your very own garden passport!

Participating this year will be Campfire Orca, Girl Scounts of Western Washington, Lakewood Police Department, West Pierce Fire & Rescue, Wolf Haven International, Pacific Science Center, Pierce County Library, and Tacoma Nature Center, and more! Local caterer, Just Call Susan, will be on site selling hot dog lunches for $5 (including chips, cookie and a drink!).

Admission is a $1 donation per person or a new or gently used item for our charity partner, The Wishing Well Foundation. Please see their website at for more details on acceptable items.

Be sure to join us at 11am for a special appearance from Rodney Raccoon from WayOut Kids. Their program uses music and media to engage children through entertaining educational programs to helpo them improve their life choices, overall health and long term success! .

Thank you to our generous sponsors and supporters:
