Lakewold Gardens differs from other properties in the Puget Sound area because we offer comfortable accommodations in an inspirational and relaxing environment. We offer a unique and serene property for meetings, corporate retreats, presentations or to celebrate your social occasion. Amidst the garden sits the historic Wagner House that offers a variety of rooms that can be utilized in many ways – from a small staff retreat in our upstairs boardroom overlooking the gardens, to an evening gala under our wisteria draped verandah – an event held at Lakewold is unlike any other.

We are located on the shores of Gravelly Lake in Lakewood, WA and just minutes from I-5 and downtown Tacoma. Although we are near the hustle and bustle of the city, it feels worlds away.

Our facility is not available to rent May 8th-10th, June 19th-21st, and December 23rd-January 3rd annually. Because of parking limitations, valet parking is required for all events with greater than 80 guests.

Due to staff limitations, we are not able to book back-to-back events.

Lower Conference Room

This room is the former living room of the Wagner House, and provides a great deal of flexibility in accommodating groups. The adjacent former Dining Room opens off the Living Room and may be used for a grand buffet. Guests may enjoy other parts of the gardens, but only the Dining Room and Living Room are included in exclusivity.

The Lower Conference Room comfortably accommodates up to 40 people with tables and chairs, 70 theater-style seating. Rental costs includes use of tables and chairs.

In-house coffee/tea service is available for an additional fee. Due to health department regulations, self-catering and non-commercially prepared food is not allowed.

Upper Conference Room

Available to non-profits only

This room is located on the second floor of the Wagner House and provides a spectacular view of the gardens as well as Gravelly Lake. It is best suited for small groups and board-style meetings and retreats. The Upper Conference Room accommodates up to 16.

In-house coffee/tea service is available for an additional fee. Due to health department regulations, self-catering and non-commercially prepared food is not allowed.

Lower Wagner House

Capacity: 120 with tables and chairs. Includes Sun Room, Living Room, Dining Room, and Verandah.

Availability: Available evenings year-round 4:00pm-11pm (set up 3pm)

Step back in time with a private rental of the Wagner House. Rental includes use of the entire lower floor of the Wagner House, as well as use of the covered verandah. Your guests can enjoy walking through the gardens, relaxing in the sun room, or taking in the views from under the Wisteria.

Utilizing the Dining Room, Living Room, Sun room and Verandah, you can comfortably seat around 120 people. Rental costs includes use of tables and chairs.
