Tours are available year round. For the best availability, please reach out as soon as you know you’d like to organize a tour with us. Please read on to learn about the different types of tours we offer.

Groups of 16-30 guests, two docents: $300

Groups larger than 30 guests, three docents*: $400

Coffee in the Gardens:

A special favorite of many of our guests, and a lovely way to experience the peaceful environment of the Gardens (even in seasons of potential inclement weather). We provide complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and light refreshments, while guests receive a presentation by a trained docent featuring the highlights & history of Lakewold Gardens. We can accommodate up to 30 guests for Coffee in the Gardens.

Upon booking either a tour or Coffee in the Gardens, a refundable deposit of 50% of the total fee is due to reserve your tour or Coffee. Cancellation or rebooking is allowed prior to 24 hours in advance of the scheduled tour, with a full refund. Cancellation within 24 hours of the scheduled tour will yield a 50% refund of deposit. Rebooking within 24 hours of the scheduled tour/Coffee will yield a $25 rebooking fee. These policies allow us to be adequately prepared for your arrival, supply food & drink for Coffee in the Gardens, and to provide quality training for our docents. We thank you for your understanding!

A note on accessibility and mobility-limited guests: a large part of the Garden and Wagner House is accessible to persons in a wheelchair. We also have one wheelchair available on-site for your use. Please let us know at the time of booking if you may need this service, which we provide free of charge.

Behind the Scenes Tours

Our Behind the Scenes Tours are monthly tours about 1.5 hours long hosted by Lakewold staff members where we explore specific topics related to the plant collection, design elements and garden practices. On these casual walks staff might share updates on renovation projects, provide maintenance tips and tricks, and/or discuss how we are adapting the garden to climate change. Bring your questions as there will be plenty of time for conversation.

Space is limited to 12 participants, so register soon if you're interested. Registration is available at (Behind the Scenes Tours | Eventbrite). The ticket price is $25 which includes your daily admission.

For questions, please email (contactus@lakewoldgardens.org)  or call 253-584-4106. We look forward to your visit!
