Kvitucha: Ukraine in Bloom

April 12 - May 26, 2024

Kvitucha (Ukrainian for blooming) is an example of how beauty can bloom in the face of adversity and a manifestation of the resilience of the human spirit. Nine Ukrainian artists, most of them displaced by the current war in Ukraine and relocated to the Pacific Northwest, are represented in this exhibit. Each of the three rooms of the Wagner House's gallery space is devoted to the display of a specific style or type of media: 67 pieces including floral paintings in the traditional Petrykivka and Samchykivka styles, Kosiv painted ceramics and Pysanka eggs, as well as more abstract and modern pieces.
