Mayfest 2021

It’s time to celebrate the arrival of spring, the wonderful colors and liveliness of nature, and moms at our annual MayFest celebration. Come enjoy our exceptional rhododendrons, and even participate in a rhododendron scavenger hunt if you want to locate some prime species we think are of special interest. This year you can meet featured artists in our shop and pick up a bouquet from our pop-up flower stand—the perfect Mother’s Day gift awaits in our shop! On Friday and Saturday, 45-minute docent tours (at 11am and 2pm) offer a chance to learn about Lakewold’s history and the horticultural collections that make up our garden spaces.

On Mother’s Day, enjoy a dessert and mimosa box (with non-alcoholic versions available as well) on our lawn in a fenced-in (21+) “Mimosa Meadow.” Live harp music will fill the gardens courtesy Lakewold favorite Twyla Eddins. At the close of MayFest on the evening of May 9th, Rona Yellow Robe will present a concert event called “Voice of the Trees.” This special walking flute concert will take place under the trees of Lakewold Gardens.

Tickets are limited for general admissions, the docent tours, and the Voice of the Trees concerts, so buy your tickets early if you can! You will find the ticket links below on this page. *If you are a Lakewold Gardens member you will still need to buy tickets to this special event.
