Celebrate your special day at Lakewold Gardens, a unique historic estate surrounded by 10 acres of formal and natural settings. We are located on the shores of Gravelly Lake in Lakewood, WA just minutes from 1-5 and downtown Tacoma. Inside the wrought iron gates of the estate, you will feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Wagner House offers ample photo opportunities with a stunning spiral staircase, intimate rooms, and a wisteria-covered verandah for your reception. The gardens offer a striking backdrop for your ceremony and reception with a gazebo, quatrefoil pool, brick walkway, natural ponds, formal and woodland plantings, and a view of Gravelly Lake. Although we do not offer customizable weddings, we are sure that our selection of wedding packages will give you the perfect setting to say “I do.” See more photos >
Classic Wedding Package
- Private bridal party dressing rooms.
- We provide white folding chairs, 60-inch round tables for dining, and 6-foot folding tables for gifts, cake, coffee, buffet, etc. Our preferred providers offer a wide selection of linens and dishware. They will guide you in planning a beverage area and help you choose a buffet, family-style, or plated meal for your reception.
- A one-hour pre-wedding day photo shoot with your photographer. This is a perfect opportunity for an engagement photo or a photo for a save the date card!
- One-hour rehearsal time the day before your wedding.
- Available Saturdays and Sundays, May through September

MicroWedding Package - accommodates up to 30 attendees
Microweddings are the perfect choice for those who want to spend quality time with friends and family on their special day. The timeline and flow of the day are more relaxed than at a larger wedding with plenty of time for vows, photos, good food, and dancing!
- Private area for ceremony preparation
- Rental time is for four and a half hours
- Exclusive use of the Wagner House and Gardens
- Our preferred providers will guide you in choosing small bites and sweet treats for your reception
- Pre-scheduled rehearsal time is not included
- Available year round on Fridays and Sundays only

Elopement Package
At Lakewold Gardens we understand that large weddings aren’t for everyone. Many couples long for a romantic and intimate ceremony that harkens to a simpler time. You want your wedding ceremony and day to reflect your authentic self. An elopement at Lakewold Gardens will offer you an opportunity to fulfill your vision of your wedding ceremony.
- Location options include any of our enchanting Garden Rooms, the charming Tea House gazebo or the wisteria-covered Verandah on the Wagner House (perfect in the event of inclement weather).
- Elopements are offered Wednesday-Sunday year round but must be scheduled in advance.
- Maximum attendees: eight (8) including the couple, officiant and up to five additional attendees
- Referral for experienced local wedding officiant available. You will have a ceremony that is meaningful and memorable.
- One-hour rental.

- CAN WE HAVE AN OPEN BAR?
You can serve beer, wine, and champagne as a part of your celebration.
- DO YOU HAVE PREFERRED VENDORS?
We have preferred caterers.
- DO YOU PROVIDE TABLES AND CHAIRS?
We offer 60-inch round tables for dining and 6 ft folding tables for service needs (buffet, beverage service, etc.). Additionally, we have a 4-foot sweetheart table for the bride and groom. We also provide white folding chairs. AT THIS TIME RENTAL ITEMS SUCH AS KING'S TABLES, OTHER CHAIRS, AND ACCENT PIECES ARE NOT PERMITTED.
- DO YOU PROVIDE LINENS?
Linens are not provided but can be rented through one of our preferred caterers. Our preferred caterers will provide setup and breakdown of dining and service tables.
- IS THERE PARKING ON-SITE?
Yes. We have 3 areas for parking. Parking for the bridal party and caterers is near the Wagner House. Guest parking is available at a different lot (onsite) and city parking is available on the street. There are designated ADA parking spots. Staff will offer guidance to accessible pathways, portable ramps, and entrances to the ceremony and reception areas. There is no overnight parking in any area.
- IS EVENT INSURANCE REQUIRED?
Yes. Information will be given at the time of contract signing.
- IS A DAY-OF COORDINATOR OR PLANNER REQUIRED?
A day-of coordinator is required but not a planner. Each area of the Wagner House and the gardens has a specific use. The event staff will review the layout with you. The beauty of the gardens and the charm of the house make planning easy.
- WILL A STAFF MEMBER BE ON SITE THE DAY OF MY WEDDING?
Yes.
- WHEN CAN OUR VENDORS ARRIVE FOR SETUP?
They can arrive at their preassigned time per our contract with you.
- DO YOU OFFER A SOUND SYSTEM?
We do not. However, we can refer you to many local DJs and musicians that can provide this equipment as part of their services.
